windchaserb
It seems that the pss service cannot be restarted, at least in my environment. Whenever I try to restart it I get a notice that it started and then stopped. I've turned tracing on and see that i'm getting a License Error 00300800. It seems to start up ok after a reboot but not afterwards. Any ideas? Also it doesn' t work when it is running but that's another story. Frank
License Error 00300800 means that the license found in the registry does not match the machine in which PSS is running. Did you change any hardware on that machine? Did you install Chart FX normally on this server?
windchaserb
Then why does it start up correctly on a reboot? It's only later when we try a restart that it fails
Frank
> why does it start up correctly on a reboot? Do you get a message in the eventlog saying PSS Started correctly? If o, can you please post the contents of this message, it should read something like this: Started ! This Machine: 1 Port: 8082 Location: ... Version: ... License ID: .... Frank
I'm really baffled! I've never seen this behavior before. Like I mentioned before, License Error 00300800 indicates a problem with the license not matching the computer, I don't know why it will work when you boot and not later on. Please contact Software FX support.
