User (Legacy)
Does anyone knows how to control the space between the y axis and the chart border? Look at the attached chart to understand what i mean (the red arrow). Thanks

User (Legacy)
I´m sorry, but this doesn´t work. I change this value from the designer and the chart was not influenced at all! I also checked it on run time and it didn´t work either. Software FX
What are you trying to change it to ? Are you trying to make it smaller or bigger ? You can not make it smaller than the default because the default is calculated as the MINIMUM space required. -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com
User (Legacy)
I´m trying to make it bigger. The size is changed according to the length of the y axis labels. but i want to start with a larger size than the default so i need to control it by myself but the margin values do not do anything. Software FX
Sorry my mistake, Margin is a generic .NET Control property, this is not what you are looking for. This is: chart.PlotAreaMargin.Left = 100; -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com
jdscolam
Hi, I actually need to make this area smaller, is there a way to do this? Jon
Frank
No. The default is as small as it can get. Anything smaller will clip the text.
jdscolam
Is it possible for me to get rid of the labels and text without losing the concept of the Y-axis?
Frank
Yes. chart1.AxisY.Style |= AxisStyles.HideText; Will hide the Y-Axis labels. To hide the title, do: chart1.AxisY.Title.Text = null; After this, you can reduce the PlotAreaMargin further. Set it to 1 for the minimum possible value.
