Software FX Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 You can not have a transparent chart in this environment. Transparent child windows are simply not supported by Windows and as an ActiveX Chart FX is a Window. What exactly do you want to achieve by making the chart transparent ? Maybe I can suggest an alternative. Can you attach a screenshot of what you need ? -- FP Software FX
User (Legacy) Posted October 27, 2004 Author Report Posted October 27, 2004 This is a little sample, gradient backcolor with ChartFx. I think about chart.hWnd, subclassing???? any idea??? Thanks. "SoftwareFX Support" <noreply@softwarefx.com> escribi
Software FX Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Dues to the limitation of Windows this is not possible using the Chart FX ActiveX as it has its own window. I see two options: 1) You can draw a chart on top of any DC using the Paint method, however in order for the Chart Control to be interactive it needs to be created as a window and therefore it can not be transparent. 2) You can process the PrePaint event and draw the background of your form inside of the chart window. -- FP Software FX
