User (Legacy)
Hello, With the release of your .NET Version, Does your company plan to maintain support for chartfx (COM)? Can we expect newer versions of the COM package? Should we Upgrade to .NET and abandon the COM Component? Thanks for any insight, Chase Gale
Software FX
We have plans on maintaining the COM version. A major release (for the COM version) is scheduled for next year. We are working on the possibility of homologating all Chart FX versions (.NET, COM and Java) in terms of features and API. It has not been determined yet weather or not we are going to release a COM version that matches the features and API of Chart FX for .NET and Chart FX for Java. But it is a very real possibility at this point. Market conditions, rate of adoption of the .NET technology and other factors will influence this decision. Having said this, Chart FX for .NET and Chart FX for Java are our "flag-ship" products and our main focus will remain on these. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
