User (Legacy)
Hello I have to create a scatter-chart with an automatic regressionline. Untill now we produced this chart in excel, there is such a feature available. I couldn't find anything similar in ChartFX. Is this possible at all? Or do I have to calculate X and Y coordinates of the start and end position of the line and paint it manually? regards, Luzia
Software FX
Linear regression is available in Chart FX Statistical Extension as a Study that you can add to any chart. If you calculate the beginning and end of the line then you can use annotation objects to draw the regression line, this method does not require the Statistical Extension but do require that you calculate the regression line yourself. -- FP Software FX
User (Legacy)
Hi Are the Statistical Extension for free? If not, what about the Annotations? I hope that they are for free, at least. How do I get them? I tried to find it on your homepage, but it's not easy to navigate and find something... User (Legacy)
Hello In the meantime, I was looking for some infos about the Annotation and succeeded: I have the ChartFX.Annotation.dll in the bin of the local installationpath.(Version 6.2.1662.18835) But I can't integrate it into VisualStudio! when I rightclick the toolbox I choose the option "add/remove elements". Because I have only SoftwareFX.ChartFX and SoftwareFX.ChartFX.Internet.Server available, I click the button browse to include the above mentioned dll. But now there appears the following error message (sorry for my translation....): In 'C:\Programme\ChartFX for .NET 6.2\bin\ChartFX.Annotation.dll' are no components available which could be positioned in the toolbox. please help! Software FX
> But I can't integrate it into VisualStudio! when I rightclick the toolbox > I > choose the option "add/remove elements". That is not how you use the annotation extension. The annotation extension is included with Chart FX. Documentation for how to use it can be found in Chart FX's documentation under: Programmer's Guide -> Annotations Are you ware this documentation exists ? A shortcut to it was added to your Start Menu upon installation. -- FP Software FX

User (Legacy)
Hello This is really weird! This morning I had all the annotation available!? I have no idea why. I produce the regression line with an arrow, but now I have the problem, that I cannot drop the arrowhead. I found something in the docu about styles and a instance for it, but couldn't find exact instructions. Could you give me some samples? > Programmer's Guide -> Annotations > > Are you ware this documentation exists ? A shortcut to it was added to your > Start Menu upon installation. User (Legacy)
Hello I still have the problem that my regression line appears as an arrow. How can I remove the arrowhead? And how can I make the line thicker? thanks in advance, Luzia "Luzia" <spam_no_spam@bluewin.ch> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:yNn%23eD8pEHA.3120@webserver3.softwarefx.com... > Hello > > This is really weird! Software FX
The AnnotationArrow object has properties for this. Did you look at the documentation ? There isn't that many properties, you can't miss it. -- FP Software FX
