User (Legacy) Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Intro ----- Our company has been using CharFX for numerous years without problems, relatively speaking. However, I've run into a critical problem. We have a distribution printer that prints our reports using IE. It runs without a problem printing over 400-500 reports daily. The reports contain HTML and ChartFX graphs. Problem -------- When I print documents via IE without a ChartFX object present, the document prints without issue. However, recently when printing a report that contains a ChartFX object the browser hangs, but not the computer. I'm able to move the mouse freely but the browser is no longer functional. What have I done to fix the problem? ------------------------------------- I went to http://support.softwarefx.com/cfxie/ and realized to my amazement that the objects were no longer present. I was being prompted to download them, so I did. I thought this would fix it but it did not. We've performed this in the past and has usually corrected the problem. Could any one please provide some insite into this issue. Your input will very much appreciated. Kevin Marson WearCheck Canada Inc.,
User (Legacy) Posted June 9, 2003 Author Report Posted June 9, 2003 A further note: We changed the graph_type to "JPEG" from "ACTIVEX" and the printing performs as expected.
