User (Legacy)
Hi All, I have downloaded the ChartFx MSOffice Addon and installed it on our webserver. I have restarted the webserver. There doesn't appear to be any new documentation added for this extension though. I understand I would have to create a separate object but I can't even find the progid for this extension in the registry. I have searched through this newsgroup but can find no info. Is there a simple reference for getting to the point where copying a chart from a webpage allows it to be pasted in an Office document? Software FX
The ChartFx MSOffice Add-on has no documentations as it integrates transparently to Chart FX. When the Add-On is installed the Copy->To Office Application option in the toolbar and menu will be automatically enabled allowing your end-users to copy the chart to an office document. You do interact with this component directly. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
Software FX
As FP said, there is no API in the MSOffice add-on. Here is a small piece that gets installed with the MSOffice Add-on for Client Server which describes what you are looking for. User (Legacy)
Thanks for posting a copy of the help file. The file states that in order to use this functionality on the site we would have to install CFX4OLE.DLL on each client's computer which is not practical for us. Our other tack is to export the chart image to Excel from a web page. Thanks for the help Shawn "SoftwareFX Support" <support@softwarefx.com> wrote in message news:c0LyIhv#CHA.2684@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > As FP said, there is no API in the MSOffice add-on. Software FX
As I said, that is the client server documentation. The Internet version uses a DLL called CFX5OLE.DLL which is downloaded the first time that the chart gets saved "to Office Applications" in the client computer.
