User (Legacy)
Hello! Any news from Borland about the bug with putting a component on a form guys? I still get invalid varient operation. Borland's update did not fix the problem or even show that it existed in the fix log file. I really need to use this asap! Cheers Paul
Software FX
The most updated info we have is in article Q1382067. No solution as of today other than importing using Delphi 5.0 and then copying the files to Delphi 6.0 -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy)
How do I get to this article? Please explain the workaround in a bit more detail Cheers Paul "SoftwareFX Support" <support@softwarefx.com> wrote in message news:wj1#ME6lBHA.1704@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > The most updated info we have is in article Q1382067. > > No solution as of today other than importing using Delphi 5.0 and then > copying the files to Delphi 6.0 > > -- > FP > Software FX, Inc. > >
Software FX
To look for this article simply go to the Chart FX support site (support.softwarefx.com/chartfx) and search for Q1382067 in the KB. The workaround is ugly, you need to install Delphi 5.0 in another computer/partition, import Chart FX and then copy all generated files (.PAS, BPL, etc.) to the appropriate Delphi 6.0 folder, then add the BPL to your Delphi 6.0 as an existing package. -- FP Software FX, Inc. User (Legacy)
Hi, we are having the same problem. I wanted to ask how is it possible to add a D5 bpl to D6??? It depends on vcl50.bpl which is incompatible with vcl60.bpl. So how does this workaround work? Software FX
You need to crate a new BPL, you copy only the PAS file. You can do this by opening the DPK as a project, then replace Chartfxlib_TLB.pas and re-compile. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
