Missing License Tag

User (Legacy)

Recommended Posts

I have recently upgraded from ChartFx 6.0 to 6.2 on both my development

machine and our test web server. Our existing asp.net application works fine

on my development machine but gives a "Missing License Tag" error when

deployed and run on the test web server.

In our exisiting web application I have removed the old chartfx 6.0 dlls

then changed the reference from the 6.0 assemblies to the 6.2 assemblies. I

also changed the chart component in the toolbox from 6.0 to 6.2 and dragged

and droped the new component onto the page replacing the old one.

I have also checked the licenses.licx and it has been updated as well

After taking all of these steps I rebuilt the solution (it still worked on

my machine) and moved it onto the test web server and the "Missing License

Tag" error still exists.

I have checked the versions of the dlls on my machine and the test web

server and they are both 6.2.1486.xxxxx. The versions in the bin directory

of my application are 6.2.1486.xxxxx as well. The only chartfx dll that I

can find that isn't of these versions is the ChartFX.MainClient.dll

(6.0.1201.29676) and I have read in other posts that said that the

MainClient.dll did not change in version 6.2 and should still be that

version.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to fix the Missing License Tag error

on the test web server?

Thanks

John

Yes, ChartFx 6.2 was correctly installed. Actually it was upgraded, but as

far as I can tell it was sucessful.
