User (Legacy)
we are currently trying to upgrade one of our servers from win2k to windows server 2003. the charts and code have always worked fine, however, we are now getting a 'Failed to download Chart ProtocolError - NotFound (404) when trying to view a .NET control version of our chart. can you shed some light on why we might be getting this? i assume it has something to do with our new server configuration, but i don't know where to start looking. thanks, --chris
User (Legacy)
more info... the temp file gets created in the chartfx6/temp dir. and our problem looks very similar to a post in the chartfx.net.general group titled, "new windows 2003 server" started on 7/21/2003. we followed the same steps as described in that thread, but it appears that there was no resolution. any help would be appreciated. --chris "Chris Shinkle" <cmshinkle@sep.com> wrote in message news:%23XG1xpXmDHA.1264@WEBSERVER1... > we are currently trying to upgrade one of our servers from win2k to windows > server 2003. the charts and code have always worked fine, however, we are > now getting a 'Failed to download Chart ProtocolError - NotFound (404) when > trying to view a .NET control version of our chart. can you shed some light > on why we might be getting this? i assume it has something to do with our > new server configuration, but i don't know where to start looking. > > thanks, > > --chris > >
Software FX
1) Look at the source of the page giving the error (View Source from the browser) 2) Take the URL Pointed by DataPath and pasted in your address bar preceded by your Web Site root. 3) Do you get a 404 error ? Is the URL correct ? 4) Check the virtual directories in your IIS. If there one called ChartFX6 ? Where is it pointing to ? -- FP Software FX, Inc.
