Two things: 

1) You must set the X_AXIS step to ONE (1) not ZERO (0). ZERO Means Auto. 

When set to auto, the step will become 2 because a step of ONE causes an 

overlapping of the labels at the end of your X_AXIS scale (where the numbers 

are bigger). 

2) Calling ResetScale will clear the STEP settings. So, you must set the 

step to ONE (1) AFTER calling RecalcScale.
