User (Legacy) Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I have several separate charts on the one page, arranged vertically. I need to align the Y-axes. The Y-Axes seem to be positioned depending on the length of the axis label text. Is there any way to override this?
Software FX Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Yes. Use the LeftGap property. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy) Posted July 11, 2003 Author Report Posted July 11, 2003 LeftGap does not appear to set the gap between the margin and the axis, but rather between the marging and the labels. Since the labels can have variable length this presents a problem. "SoftwareFX Support" <support@softwarefx.com> wrote in message news:cNc5E3iRDHA.1432@WEBSERVER1... > Yes. Software FX Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 If you want to align the Y-Axis, that's the only way to do it, you need to assign all LeftGaps to the same distance, regardless of the text length. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy) Posted July 11, 2003 Author Report Posted July 11, 2003 You are right. Thanks. User (Legacy) Posted July 11, 2003 Author Report Posted July 11, 2003 One issue remains. I have several Gannt charts and one bar chart arranged vertically. They share the same horizintal time-line and must be perfectly aligned. However, the Gannt charts start at their vertical axes but the bar chart starts a little to the right of its vertical axis. Is there any way to have the bar chart start at the vertical origin, or even have the Gannt chart start at the same point the bar chart does? Software FX Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 The bar chart's first point is to the right of the y-axis because otherwise the bar itself will be on top of it. Can you please attach a picture of what you would like to see. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy) Posted July 14, 2003 Author Report Posted July 14, 2003 I have the charts arranged in a column and they must be synchronised. That is, any vertical line on the screen must pass thru the exact same value on the x axes of all charts. I managed to acheive this by allowing an extra 12 pixels on either side of the bar chart. Thanks for all your help. It is much appreciated.
