User (Legacy)
Is there a way to prevent the charts from caching? I am having a problem with Tomcat and Chart FX, where the pages themselves are not caching, but the dynamic images are. As I understand it, jfreechart has a similar setting, was hoping there would be an easy solution in Chart FX. Thanks.
Software FX
Are you using our server side component ? Are you generating images ? -- Regards, JC Software FX Support "Kimberly" <kmckinnis@macrovision.com> wrote in message news:tq732RHEEHA.200@webserver3.softwarefx.com... > Is there a way to prevent the charts from caching? Software FX
When you use the server component, a new name is generated every time for he image. So I don't see how it can be cached, if a different file with a different name every time. When you do a view-source of the page that is not "up-to-date" the HREF of the image points to the same or to a different image ? if it points to the same, it is the page hat is being cached and you need to configure Tomcat so that this doesn't happen (this falls out of the scope of our products). I'm assuming you are using Chart FX Internet 5.x (COM version). If this is not correct, the above statement may not be true. In particular if you are using Chart FX 6.0 and the PSS Extension caching of images can be enabled. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
