User (Legacy)
We are running CFXIE4. Most or our customers are able to download their chrats with now problem. Those with dial up connections get various error messages. "failed to download license" or "failed to download chart". I have come to believe that this is due to a timeout with the chartfx component installed on the client. If for example a page has four charts and 2 fail to download. I view the source of the web page and search for the .chw files of the charts on the local machine and the webserver. The chw files for all the graphs are on the server but only the chw files for the two graphs that are showing correctly on the page are on the client. How can this be fixed Regards Colin Chambers Netadept LTD
Software FX
Hello, Although this does not seem relevant make sure that you are not setting the background of the chart to transparent. This feature causes the chart to draw in a completely different manner since it does not have it's own window and could possibly be causing the problem. If this does not help then try with a very simple page such as this one and see if you get the same result http://support.softwarefx.com/samples/cfxie/GettingStarted.asp. Then slowly add features back into the chart until you get the behavior again. Justin Trask Tech.
