User (Legacy)
I'm having trouble installing the latetst Server Service Pack (on WinNT4.0 Server SP6). The downloading appears to run fine but then it never attempts to shut down the IIS services. No update is made. Someone on your support staff once coached me on how to nurse the process along by manually shutting down some services. Can you refresh my memory on the pattern to follow. For example, is this the right sequence to follow? 1. Have all services running as usual 2. Run the install 3. Stop and re-start all IIS related services. Or should services be stopped first, before trying the install? I believe I've tried both sequences and no luck so far... Thank you, Jim Miller
Software FX
Hello, I would recommend that you stop IIS Admin first and then run the update program. Then start IIS Admin again.
