User (Legacy)
Hello, We are using the server control to render ActiveX/bitmap graphs for our web app. In certain cases, where pie slices are small, the percentages are all cramped overwriting each other and the chart in some cases. Ideally, there would be a magic property I could set that would fix this but I image there is nothing that can be done. Anyone got any ideas / novel solutions? One possibility would be to reorder the array to mix small slices inbetween larger ones, but this seems a little excessive. Thanks in advance, Tim H
User (Legacy)
You might try using annotation objects to put your own labels and point values where you want them. I use this a lot on Gantt-style charts. Granted, this would be a lot more complicated with a pie chart, but it gives you total control. hth - Jim "Tim Hastings" <sorry@nospam.com> wrote in message news:Bkpe8FgoCHA.2684@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > Hello, > > We are using the server control to render ActiveX/bitmap graphs for our web > app. In certain cases, where pie slices are small, the percentages are all > cramped overwriting each other and the chart in some cases. > > Ideally, there would be a magic property I could set that would fix this but > I image there is nothing that can be done. > > Anyone got any ideas / novel solutions? > > One possibility would be to reorder the array to mix small slices inbetween > larger ones, but this seems a little excessive. > > Thanks in advance, > > Tim H > >
Software FX
I'm affraid that other thant no showing the labels (and showing a legend box) there is no real solution to this problem. We have added a lot of login in Chart FX 6 (for .NET) to improve pie labels placement. For example you can now get Pie charts like in the attached picture. -- FP Software FX Support "Tim Hastings" <sorry@nospam.com> wrote in message news:Bkpe8FgoCHA.2684@webserver1.softwarefx.com...
