User (Legacy)
Hi, We are building an web-based app with some reporting capabilities for a customer and we are looking for a charting solution. The customer will use the app on an Internet server. It is important to say that the Intranet server itself has _no_ Internet connectivity for security reasons. Is it still possible to install the web form server version of ChartFX on an Intranet server that has no Internet Access? Best regards, Marc marc@nospam*neogeo.com
User (Legacy)
the phrase "Internet server" should be replaced with "Intranet server". sorry "Marc Hoeppner" <marc@nospam.neogeo.com> wrote in message news:v09eViMVCHA.1288@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > Hi, > > We are building an web-based app with some reporting capabilities for a > customer and we are looking for a charting solution. Software FX
Yes, but you do need a Chart FX for .NET Production Server license for this server whether it is an Intranet or Internet server. The server component is licensed per computer in which it is installed and/or running. If the server doesn't have internet connectivity, the installer will give you instructions on how to register your license from another computer. Please check the license agreement for more details. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
Software FX
Marc If the server has no Internet access, the setup will give you a challenge code and a URL. In that URL, you'll be asked to enter such code to obtain a valid license string. Finally, you enter that string during the setup. The procedure is simpler than it sounds, though. --- IG Software FX "Marc Hoeppner" <marc@nospam.neogeo.com> wrote in message news:QUck4jMVCHA.1288@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > the phrase "Internet server" should be replaced with "Intranet server". > sorry > > "Marc Hoeppner" <marc@nospam.neogeo.com> wrote in message > news:v09eViMVCHA.1288@webserver1.softwarefx.com... > > Hi, > > > > We are building an web-based app with some reporting capabilities for a > > customer and we are looking for a charting solution. User (Legacy)
Thanks! - I wasn't sure about the online registration stuff if the server is not connected to the Internet. Good to know that this would work on an Intranet-only server as well!!
