User (Legacy) Posted November 6, 2003 Author Report Share Posted November 6, 2003 Hello, BIG PROBLEM FOR INSTALLING CHART FX LITE FOR ASP .NET After puchasing Chart FX Lite for ASP .net and downloading the software... On the production server, we start installation. Just after click on CfxliteASpNet.exe we're having the following error message : "The file c:\Program Files\Common Files\Install FX\lfxRegistration.dll is in use by another application..." The installation failed..... On development server, we have another problem. (Trial version installed and working) '"The file C:\program files\chart FX Lite for ASP .Net\Help\charfx_lite_api.Hsx is in use by another application. " Clic on Ignore or Retry produce nothing ! same file blocking And finally File Corrupt(8) message... Is it serious ? Any help welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Make sure you're installing the software with a user with Administrator privileges. You need write permission to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Install FX and make sure the file c:\Program Files\Common Files\Install FX\lfxRegistration.dll is not read-only. >>> The file C:\program files\chart FX Lite for ASP > .Net\Help\charfx_lite_api.Hsx is in use by another application. Make sure you have Visual Studio .NET and/or the Chart FX Lite for ASP.NET help file closed before attempting the installation. On the other hand, you mention that you're installing the software in both, a Production server and a Development server.
