User (Legacy) Posted October 17, 2005 Author Report Posted October 17, 2005 Hi, I am sort of confused as to whether or not Flash output is available for ClientServer 6.2. Looking at the help I am not really sure if what I am reading is referring to ChartFX .NET only or not. Is there a list somewhere showing what is available via .NET version and what isn't in COM version? Are there any differences as far as the core charting goes? Also are there any C++ samples for Flash generation ( assuming possible in COM ). Thank you for your time. -Mac

Software FX Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Flash output is a Chart FX Internet Feature, it is not available in Chart FX Client Server. In .NET, Flash output is supported by the Web Forms control (equivalent to Chart FX Internet) and not in the Windows Form control (equivalent to Chart FX Client Server). -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com

User (Legacy) Posted October 17, 2005 Author Report Posted October 17, 2005 So is Flash the only way to get drill down features? More to the point...is the drill down feature only in the internet based part? Software FX Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 If by drill-down you mean navigating to Urls, yes, this is a feature of Chart FX Internet, Chart FX Client Server doesn't know about Urls as it is not designed to be inside a browser. If your app is Browser Based, Chart FX Internet is the product for you. ChartFX Client Server does provide you with all Mouse Events necessary to implement Drill-Down navigation in a Client Server application, for example open another form when you click on a point. -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com
