how do i create a custom data editor?

A custom data editor ? What do you mean by that ? Can you please be

Right click on chart, you'll get context menu that has "Data Editor".

This data editor is either one row or one column (per chart) depends on

where you position it.

I want ability to customize this editor.

Customize it in what way ? What exactly do you want to achieve ?
