legend color box

Since their small boxes will not adequately support gradients, I suggest 

that you look into overriding the legend color to be the corresponding flat

color of the high range of the gradient. i.e. if going from light blue to

dark blue, set the legend to dark blue. This means that each data set needs

to be more unique, like restricted to independent primary colors (but can

use gradients within that).
