User (Legacy)
While searching for a chart component for our WinForm application, Chart FX.Net has become our final candidate. However, without any previous knowledge of Chart FX.Net, after browsing through the online gallery chart list, it's still unclear whether Chart FX.Net can be used to create charts like these (attached here):
Software FX
Definitely. Although we Chart FX Financial is not available yet as a native .NET component, you can achieve these charts. You have two options: 1) Use Chart FX for .NET as a native .NET component. You will be able to plot all of the charts pictured in your posting (with minor cosmetic differences) but you will have to make the calculations of the different studies (Bollinger bands, MACD, etc.) on your own and add them as data series. 2) Use Chart FX Financial as a COM component and you will have all these studies built-in. A native .NET Version of Chart FX Financial is on the works and it is expected for the second quarter of 2004 (this is a preliminary estimate, don't hold me to it, there is no official relapse date for this product yet). -- FP Software FX, Inc. User (Legacy)
It appears that the "CandleStick" chart on ChartFX show the candle without stick on it's head and tail, instead it has a horizontal bar cross in the middle of candle, as the attached chart shows: Would you enlighten if this can be corrected by proper setting? Thanks.
Software FX
The blue part is the candle-stick. You can change the colors using Series[i].Color. Also, you can play with the Volume property to make the bars thinner or thicker. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
