cbrown Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Recently, PG stopped working on an XP workstation it was working on. I uninstalled and re-installed. After the re-install Powershell with PowerGadgets would not launch, just "flash" on the screen and close. I uninstalled again and then installed to a new directory. Now when calling a PS1 and PGF in a script, I get the error "PowerGadgets with Presenter has encountered a problem and needs to close...". If you click on the buttons (send or don't send to Microsoft) it kills the PS1 gadget. If I launch Powershell with PG, and manually type in the PS1 and PGF files at the command prompt, the gadgets launch and do not cause an error. Thoughts? This works everywhere else in our office except on this one machine. Quote
JuanC Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Are you trying to use a simple cmdlet, e.g out-chart Or are you trying to open (double click) a PGF file? Can you try creating a dummy PGF that does not connect to any data to see if we can isolate the problem? JuanC Quote
cbrown Posted April 16, 2010 Author Report Posted April 16, 2010 I installed to a new directory and it seems to be working after a reboot of the PC. Thanks! Quote
