unable to drag and drop chart fx control in the existing solution..

I'm trying to use chart fx control (evaluation version) in an existing solution. But i'm unable to drag and drop the control in the form. It is giving me reference error. But when i open a new solution i'm able to drag and drop and use the control. What is the reason for this??
