That is, to specify labels on every one hour, users of our app will need to 

set the step as 0.0416666... ? one minute - 6.9444E-4 ? 

This will be quite difficult for them. 

Why the major/minor unit boxes do not accept direct date/time values like 

1:00:00 or 0:01:00 (Min and Max boxes display correct date/time values)  ? 

At least, is it possible to set the step as 1/24 or 1/(24*60) in the 

Properties dialog ?
