max/min graph points

Hi, 

      I am writing an application in which the user can enter certain 

thresholds of acceptable data.  After I graph the data based on the user 

input, I need to get the lowest point on the chart and compare it to what 

the user has specified to be the lowest acceptable value.  Does the chart 

have a way of returning the maximum and minimum points being graphed?  That 

would make this task a whole lot easier.
