Saving Chart to Db file

Is it possible save and read a chart from a database? 

To do so, I actually export the chart to a file: 

    Chart.export CHART_CFXOLEFILE,"C:\MyDir\MyFile.tmp" 

then I write its content in a recordset field. 

Is there a more efficient way to perform this operation? to export directly 

the chart to the database?
