Data Editor Layout

Hi, 

do I have a chance of changing the layout of the data editor. 

I would like to have my x axis labels as the column headers 

and the y values in a single line next to the series label. 

Right now I only get numbers (1 to ...) in the column headers and 

2 consecutive lines next to the series label, one with the x labels and one 

with the y values. 

The manual shows something I would like but doesn't give a hint ... 

Plus: Can I explictly enter data into the data editor grid programmatically 

without affecting the chart? Means "unplugged" data - say to speak.
