Is there a way to "copy" and/or "save" chart?

Good afternoon! 

I want to be able to simulate several charts based of a list box- the user 

will click on a new selection in the list box and the chart will change to a 

saved template and data that corresponds to the current list box selection. 

I will do this by having several Chart FX objects in the background not 

being shown.  When the user clicks on a new selection, I want the currently 

displayed chart to "revert" to the chart from memory. 

Is there a way I can do this?  In addition to the chart data, I want to also 

copy all chart  details (the chart template).
