I found the same problem and a simple hack to get around it. ... chart.ItemsSource = null; // HACK: This is hack to ensure the chart.Series is initialized before accessing it chart.Series.Add(series); ... If the SoftwareFX guys has another way to handle this I would also very much like to here about.
