If I change the gallery type to Are from Bar I loose the last month i,e, before all months between 2006-jan-01 and 2009-dec-1 was presented after I change to Area Chart
I get 2006-jan-01 and 2009-nov-1
I have tested this both changing in the code and using the "User Interface" .Net generated Chart

As you can see above the data is in the chart but when I move the mouse over the last month it is the wrong month in the Area chart.
