  1. Forgot to mention, The Resource Center says I have the latest version available.
  2. I have a single series bar chart which when hove over a bar causing it to highlight, it produces an invalidcast unhandled exception. It seems to be a problem with the template I am using to load the chart properties. If I just use the default properties (ie do not load the template) it produces a line chart. this highlights points with no problem. If I change it to a bar chart and hover over a bar, it highlights the bar successfully. If I use a template I get the described error. I also found that if I clear the highlight it prevents the exception occurring. The error message is "Unable t
  3. The usage details say that the conversion tool is for converting version 6.2 templates. I have already converted my templates to version 7 successfully. I am now trying to upgrade to the latest version of 7. Do my templates need converting again?
  4. How do I check whether all series' legends are able to be seen in the legend box, ie that the size of the font allows all series legends to appear in the box?
  5. Last week I upgraded to the latest version of Chart FX (version 7). All was well until I tried to use a saved template where I got the error 'The given assembly name or codebase was invalid.' Do my saved templates have to be converted to work on the new version like they did when I upgraded before. Is there a conversion tool? I cannot see one in the install directory.
  6. Please can I have a response about this. Your offices are not open when I am in the office as I am based in Melbourne, Australia.
  7. I have upgraded from 6.2 to 7 and I am now having a problem using the chart control with PropertyGrid. When I set the SelectedObject property I get the error 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' Below is my code. The properties are sorted alphabetically and it is whatever comes after CausesValidation that is causing the problem. Any ideas? I see from the related posts that SoftwareFX suggest that designtime use is not supported, however this is something we have done successfully in version 6.2. I do hope that we have not upgraded to find that something has been removed th
  8. Also, it's not converting the series style, number of y axes and axes force zero properties. I'm sure there's more but those are the ones that are immediately obvious.
  9. Thanks Frank. That gets the conversion completing successfully. Looking at the results I see that the converted charts are missing their chart and axis labels and also whether the legend is visble and where it should be placed. Why is this?
  10. I tried converting binary template files instead of xml with the same results.
  11. AndreG, Thanks for this, however it doesn't seem to work. My 6.2 templates are in xml format. The resulting converted template looks nothing like the original. When I run the conversion in verbose mode I get an error 'Error when exporting the chart'. Also 'Error in importing ChartFX 6.2'. See attached for a screenshot of the verbose output and one oof the input templates. I'm sure you understand I do not want to have to recreate these manually as I have hundreds.
  12. I am in the process of converting a project to use Chart FX for VS 2005. The project makes use of chart templates extensively. The documentation mentions a tool for converting binary templates in the 'migrating from 6.2' section, however I am unable to find it or any other reference to it. Please point me in the right direction.
  13. I am using the ChartFX Wrapper to upgrade to ChartFX for VS2005. Whilst using the wrapper I get the above compilation error. Similarly I also get the error 'SoftwareFX.ChartFX.Wrapper.GetTipEventArgs' is not accessible in this context because it is 'Private'. Are these two objects not available?
  14. This is the error message 'Exception of type System.ComponentModel.Design.ExceptionCollection'. The point is that the InitialiseComponent is generated code but when I comment out the ChartFX code, the form loads normally. My colleague has no problems loading it. Very frustrating.
