Years in X-Axis

I am trying to change a little bit my X-Axis: 

The problem is the following: 

I have a lot of days during a certain period, e.g. 10 years. 

In the X-Axis I want only to display the year (that works too), but I want 

the year in between the two ticks ... so the first mark should be 1.1.1990, 

then the year is shown, then another mark, then 1991, then a mark etc. 

Unfortunately, when using ChartObject.Axis(AXIS_X).Style = &H3A28& then the 

year is on the wrong side of the mark ... :-( 

Any ideas?
