Changing color palette after a manual color change

If I make a background color change, and then switch a new palette, the 

background color doesn't get reset to the palette's background color.  I 

know this is by design but is there any way around it?  I think this is a 

HUGE issue since if an user changes the background color, they are stuck 

with manually changing the color forever.  There's no way to have to 

automatically change with the palettes anymore.

Like you pointed out this is by design.

To reset the Background color you can set:

chart.BackColor = Color.Empty;
