User (Legacy)
Hi, We are using Chart FX Client Server, the Cfx4032.dll (ver. 5.0) via #import in the application compiled by MS VC++ 6. The question is related to 2D bar chart. We display results of some analysis and sometimes it happens that there is only a single value to be displayed. This leads to the situation when the coloured bar for the point fills large part of the window. The prefered situation would be to have a reasonably wide bar (i.e. with limited width by some constant) and the space around. What are the ways to achieve this behaviour? Could you briefly outline the solution? Note: The solution should work also when one switches to 3D and/or when there is a bit more point and/or series that would still produce too wide bars (i.e. visually large blocks of colors). Thanks for your time and experience, Petr -- Petr Prikryl (prikrylp at skil dot cz)
Software FX
The Volume property controls the percentage of the total space available for a bar that is occupied by the bar itself. This is a percentage, not a fixed pixel size. You will have to change the Volume based on the number of bars and the space in the screen so that it is "reasonable" by your standards. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
