Software FX
Are you using the chart directly from an application (EXE) or through a DLL ? If you are using it through a DLL, you need to include it in the main application as well so that the license is stored inside of it. -- FP Software FX, Inc. Software FX
In your development computer, your project should include a Licences.licx. This file should contain a reference to Chart FX. Normally when you drop a chart into as form belonging to a Windows Form application, this file will be automatically created and updated, this is not the case if you create the control through code instead of at design time. Check out the following articles in our KB at : http://support.softwarefx.com/cfxnet Q6101010. How to manually add a Chart FX license to an executable Q6101001. Software FX
I don't know why you are getting this error, if I knew I would have already told you. The same version you are using has been used by many other users with no problems and they have deployed their apps to other computers, so I'm just trying to figure out why is it no working for you. Please try the following: Create a new Visual Studio project (Windows Form App) Drop a chart in its main form Build an run in another computer Also, make sure that you VS toolbox is pointing to the right component, I suggest you remove it from the toolbox, close VS and then insert it again prior to doing anything else. -- FP Software FX, Inc. Software FX
I think there was a bug related to the .NET framework and EXE having a SPACE, in its name but I thought that was fixed in SP 1. Maybe the bug resurface in 1.1. I will check on that. Did your EXE name had a SPACE in it ? -- FP Software FX, Inc.
