User (Legacy)
I downloaded the trial version "cfxjavatrial.exe" and when I run the exe, InstallAnywhwere, unpacks but then nothing happens. Any clues where to look for the problem ? - Glen.
Software FX
It may be that a problem related to the JVM. The installer will use your JVM, and in some cases there are incompatibilities. Can you please let me know which JVM are you running so we can try to reproduce the environment and fix the problem? Also, please try this installer which includes its own JVM: http://216.25.95.171/Trial/CfxJava/windows/VM/cfxjavatrial.exe GA Software FX "Glen" <humptybump@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:$IdcE3IuFHA.1212@webserver3.softwarefx.com... >I downloaded the trial version "cfxjavatrial.exe" and when I run the exe, >InstallAnywhwere, unpacks but then nothing happens. > > Any clues where to look for the problem ? > > - Glen. >
User (Legacy)
Thanks. The install with the JVM worked perfectly (with one exception). When I go to teh "Start ..." menu and launch "Chart FX for Java Designer", I get the error; "Designer license found for non designer app". In the Designer, the chart is a gray box with the message; "Invalid License (InvalueRsa). Please contact SoftwareFX Support". - Glen. User (Legacy)
In reading other postings, it was suggested there could be a JVM conflict. I attempted to uninstall ChartFX-Java so I could install it relative to my Tomcat server. Unfortunately, the uninstaller does not work. It too appears to suffer from the original problem where attempting to launch, just results in "nothing happening". How do I uninstall ChartFX-Java and when having these issues, where are the errors reported/logged ? - Glen.
