User (Legacy)
Hi, I downloaded the 30 day trial and hav been experimenting with the Active Chart feature. However I cannot get an active chart to display from my JSP. I have downloaded the .NET framework. I have set the crossContext element for the web application, but nothing appears in the browser. Any ideas what might be causing this problem? Regards, Gareth
Software FX
Hi Gareth, be sure you adjust the security settings for the .NET framework in the client computer, since .NET framework requires full-trust for anything that is not port 80. User (Legacy)
Hi, I have tried adjusting the security settings for the .NET framework on the client computer and this didn't help either. The <object> tag that gets produced from my jsp is as follows: <object id="Chart1" classid="/jetspeed/chartfx6/download/ChartFX.MainClient.DLL#SoftwareFX.Chart FX.Internet.MainClient" WIDTH="450" HEIGHT="280" > <PARAM NAME="DataPath" VALUE="/jetspeed/chartfx6/temp/CFT0310_1259322BFBB.chw"> <PARAM NAME="AssemblyTarget" VALUE="ChartFX.Internet.Client, Version=6.0.1507.41460, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=a1878e2052c08dce" > <PARAM NAME="ClassTarget" VALUE="SoftwareFX.ChartFX.Internet.Client.Chart" > </object> I am using tomcat and I have an application called jetspeed, deployed in the tomcat container. Does the object tag that is generated from the jsp look correct? If, so is there anything else that I could be doing wrong? Software FX
Gareth, the object tag looks ok. Please turn on the access log in the server, hit the page, and post here the content of the log. That will tells us what's is going on between the server and the client browser, and we will be able to identify the problem. But if this gives you any more clues, please do advise how I can fix the problem. Software FX
It seems that you MIME setting for extension DLL is not setup correclty. You server should return "octet-stream" as the MIME type when returning a DLL file. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy)
In my case, I needed to set MIME mapping to "application/x-msdownload" instead of "octet-stream" to make it work Hope this helps, Christophe Software FX Support wrote: > It seems that you MIME setting for extension DLL is not setup correclty. > > You server should return "octet-stream" as the MIME type when returning a > DLL file. >
