User (Legacy)
During the beta it was mentioned that the OLAP extension will eventually allow for ADODB recordsets. Has this been added? If not can the values be added by any other way besides ADO-MD and XML for Analysis? Thanks Dan Reber
Software FX
As of today we support ADO-MD, XMLA and we recently added ADOMD.NET We still have plans to support plain recordsets (or any other data source such as arrays, XML, etc.) and provide an OLAP UI but it has not been implemented yet. -- JC Software FX Support "Dan Reber" <dreber@nospam.com> wrote in message news:MaVu0kw5FHA.2724@webserver3.softwarefx.com... > During the beta it was mentioned that the OLAP extension will eventually > allow for ADODB recordsets. User (Legacy)
Thanks for the information. I mentioned this during the beta but I will mention it again. You will drastically increase your audience if you add ADODB, arrays, XML, etc. because there are many more of applications that consume those datatypes than there are CUBE consumers. Not only that, neither of the two major crosstab (excel pivot table like) control vendors have server-side controls for ASP.NET. One said that it will be ready in 6-12 months and the other does not even have a plan for it. So as soon as you get this done you will be the only one that I can think of that does both.
