Couldn't get Run Time license

Hi,

We are using ChartFX with NineRays Report Sharp Shooter (report program).

ChartFX is used to create an image and RSS put it in the report. To do this

we create a customcontrolreport where chartfx is used to export image.

When we show a report containing a customcontrolreport based on chartFX in a

winform, we haven't got any problem. Unfortunately, when we show the same

report in a webform, we've got a license error :

LicenseException : Couldn't get Run Time license for

'SoftwareFX.ChartFX.Chart'

What's wrong with license ? On the computer where we installed ChartFX

license we haven't got the problem.

Please help.

Licensed controls expect the license to be stored inside the EXE that starts

the application.

You need to make sure the application running the report contains the

license, if there is no EXE (e.g the chart is being lunched from a DLL that

is called from a process outside of your control, such as IIS) this is not

possible and license restrictions may apply.

Please check the following KB articles for details or call Software FX for

special licensing.

Q6101008. Using Chart FX for .NET Windows Forms control from a DLL

Q6101001. How to deploy a WinForms Application when it contains a wrapper

object using Chart FX for .NET

Q6101010. How to manually add a Chart FX license to an executable

We have a COM version that closely mirrors our ChartFX for .Net 6.2 version.

It has almost all the same new features and when the chart is drawn it is

not easy to see whether it is a COM chart or a .net one.

Check it out here:
