  1. Hi, Iam using Visual Studio 2005 and ChartFX 7 with extension pack. When I add a scroll bar to my chart the performance of this scroll bar is very slow. Also a tool tip appears on the scroll bar saying 'next page' and additionally a yellow coloured box also appears. How can we make the performance of scroll bar better. Scroll bar's performance is better in the sample which is a windows application but when we make it for web it is extremely slow. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated. Regards, Sana ChartHistory.zip
  2. The security level for 'My Computer' has been set to Full Trust but still Iam unable to run ZoomScrollBar Application (provided as sample with ChartFX documentation)
  3. Thanks Tatiana for the reply , So its not possible to show the Text property of the Point object in Financial charts ??
  4. Thanks Juan but actually my question is , Is there any approach through which I can have Link.OnMouseOver work on Flash ?? Or should I consider that since there is limited UI with Flash so Link.OnMouseOver could not be implemented (with Flash) ??

  6. Thanks Juan for a quick response. To some extent I have succeeded in calling the javascript function for an AnnotationText object while using Flash Writer. The solution achieved is working when annotation object is clicked, I also want javascript function to respond to OnMouseOver event. Following is the code used Link linkObj = annotText.Link; linkObj.Url = "javascript : ShowAlert(" + annotText.Tag + ")"; //ShowAlert is the javascript function (it takes one argument)FlashWriter myFlash = new FlashWriter(); Chart1.OutputWriter = myFlash; When Iam setting Url its giving the same effec
  7. When Iam setting the OutputWriter of the Chart as FlashWriter , Link.Click is not working. Following is the piece of code /* attaching annotationtext object 'annotText' on chart */ Link linkObj = annotText.Link; linkObj.OnClick = "return myFunction()"; //myFunction is the javascript functionFlashWriter myFlash = new FlashWriter(); Chart1.OutputWriter = myFlash; If the OutputWriter is not set to Flash then the click works.
  8. Thanks RandyJ, Actually I figured out the problem, I was not using Flash writer previously. Inorder to export Chart as Flash file the OutputWriter of the Chart should be set to Flash Writer. Revised code, FlashWriter myFlash = new FlashWriter(); Chart1.OutputWriter = myFlash; myFlash.Tooltips = true; myFlash.TooltipsConstraint = true;Chart1.ImageSettings.TagAttributes = "swf"; Chart1.ImageSettings.Interactive = true;Chart1.Export( FileFormat.External, "C://ChartExport.swf");
  9. When I export Chart in Flash tooltips are not visible in the Flash file produced. Following is the code chart1.ImageSettings.TagAttributes = "swf"; chart1.Export( FileFormat.External, "C://try.swf"); now when i open 'try.swf' tooltips are not showing.
  10. We can position any ASP Control (like button) using style (as used in following code) < asp:Button ID="btnFront" Text="Front" runat="server" style="Z-INDEX: 1; LEFT: 10px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 50px" />Whereas positioning ChartFX like using following piece of code is not working <chartfx7:Chart ID="Chart1" runat="server" style="Z-INDEX: 1; LEFT: 10px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 50px" > </chartfx7:Chart>
  11. As mentioned in ChartFX documentation we can format tooltip to display the Text property of point, by using Chart1.ToolTipFormat="%L"; This piece of code is working for simple Charts but not for Charts using Financial Extension. Is it possible to format tooltip for Financial Extensions also ?
  12. Iam using ChartFX Financial Extension, Ive already added low,open,close,high,volume series. Iam unable to add one more series to the Chart. My code is /* populating the dataset */ Chart1.DataSourceSettings.Fields.Add(new FieldMap("Date", FieldUsage.XValue)); Chart1.DataSourceSettings.Fields.Add( new FieldMap("Low", FieldUsage.Value));Chart1.DataSourceSettings.Fields.Add(new FieldMap("Open", FieldUsage.Value)); Chart1.DataSourceSettings.Fields.Add( new FieldMap("Close", FieldUsage.Value));Chart1.DataSourceSettings.Fields.Add(new FieldMap("High", FieldUsage.Value)); Chart1.DataSourceSettings
