  1. Is there an easy way in Chart FX 99 IE to hide all values in a certain series that are equal to zero? I am going through and doing it in a loop in VBScript for now, but I wasn't sure if there was a property I could set. Tim

  3. Yes, you're right. "Cfx98Update.exe", which I've downloaded yesterday, doesn't update my installation. (Tried it twice.) What do you suggest I should do? My platform is: NT4WSP4 (German). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Francisco Padron wrote: > > This is supposed to be fixed in 4.0.11.0. > > I think something went wrong with the update. 4. I believe, 3D perspective is drawn wrong (see attached bitmap, particularly the upper edges of the longer bars).
  5. Nope, see following scenario: - In VB6 Open some UserControl with Cfx98. Open it as object. - Run your program and fiddle with the Cfx98 control. - Stop your program. - Click one of the visible ToolBar buttons of the Cfx98 object still visible in the IDE. It reacts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Francisco Padron wrote: > > Sometimes ? It only reacts if you activate the chart (right-click, Edit) > > Frank > SFX
  6. I am trying to use the printform method of the form on which the chartfx is drawn. I am using Gantt charts. The labels on the X-Axis (vertical axis) are not printed. If I view this form on the screen everything looks okay. When the form is sent to the printer, everything prints fine, but the labels on the left vertical axis do not get printed. Any help would be appreciated Abrar
  7. When clicking on the CFX98 control at design time (VB6), the CFX toolbar sometimes reacts. Is this intentional?
  8. Hi Kevin, I don't see a problem with this. It's just the largest double number possible. If you entered "1E+308" directly, it would have the same effect as using "CHART_HIDDEN" but the latter one is easier to read, isn't it? The software engineers at SoftwareFX use this number as a flag as they believe no one will ever use this number for any other purpose. Sounds alright with me. --------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Munson wrote: > > Every time I use CHART_HIDDEN in a VB 6.0 project, VB changes its definition > in cfxocx.bas to "1E+308". 9. Hi, in my VB6 project I've inserted the Cfx98(4.0.11) into a private UserControl (skipping the wizards). After setting Cfx's Toolbar property to True at design time, I noticed that the chart type didn't change when I selected another chart type from the toolbar's gallery. After some debugging I found this line to be the reason for the problem: ctlChart.ToolBarObj.RemoveItems 2, 0 (I used it in the InitProperties() and ReadProperties() procedures to remove the Open and Save buttons.) What did I do wrong?
  10. is it possible to modify the mouse pointer when the pointer is on the chart area? i'm not able. why? stefano corradi
  11. Hello, We are testing the new cfxie99 beta. The same code has unfortunately produced substantially different charts, even for relativelly simple charts. I am including our "old" chart and the "new" chart, as it looks after calling the cfxie99b component. The labels behave differently, as well as the mixed-type charts; the "old" was bars-and-line and the "new" one became just line. Philippos.

  13. I get a 'Fatal Error' using ChartFX 98 when exiting the VB 6 IDE or from the compiled program. I searched through the online knowledge base, but I didn't see anything too helpful. I upgraded to the latest service pack (11) and it still happens. I am using an ADO connection. I'm not sure it makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. -Jeremy Hanson jeremy@ic-usa.com
  14. Every time I use CHART_HIDDEN in a VB 6.0 project, VB changes its definition in cfxocx.bas to "1E+308". Is there any way around this? Thanks, Kevin Munson
  15. I've created a fairly complex XY graph and have to drop in a number of text boxes. Prior to setting properties and drawing the graph programmatically, a test annotation object shows up fine but once I set the properties of the graph in code and plot the lines, the objects do not appear. What am missing here? This is one of those cases where you can stare at the code for hours and can't see the error of your ways. Any hints? Dick Makse

  17. Does anyone have experience implementing ChartFX in Clarion 5?
  18. I was confused too. I had looked last night and saw 4.0.10.0 at the top of the page but I looked closely today and it is infact 4.0.11.0 Looks the history file has not been updated. -- Nasir stuart <stuartb@access1.net> wrote in message news:DE0379D14694D211B4CE00609770710D033920@sftfx-221.wamnet.net... > Has this version been posted to the website? > > Stuart >
  19. Active Reports sent me a fix for this. Contact them for the latest service release of Active Reports.
  20. I have a xy line graph with 3 series in it. There are a different number of points in each series. One has 850, the other two have 846. The graph plots the xy line as expected except it only plots 846 points and then stops leaving 4 points unplotted. I am using the OpenDataEx method to place the data. I am using the following lines of code to place the first series: cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_VALUES, 1, 850 cfxChart.OpenData Ex COD_XVALUES, 1, 850 And for the following series: cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_VALUES, 1, 846 cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_XVALUES, 1, 846 Is there someother
  21. I am looking to retrieve the Orientation from the chart, but get 65535 returned from ChartName.Printer.Orientation when the Orientation is either Portrait or Landscape. I do get the proper setting of 0 when it is setup to use the default orientation of the printer. What gives? I see nothing in the KB. -- Any comments or statements made are not necessarily those of Monsanto Corporation, its subsidaries or affiliates.
  22. Hi, I just started reading this newsgroup. Someone posted that "hidden points are not supported in ChartFX in line mode." Is this true? I am basing a lot of code around this information. Stuart

  24. I am having trouble controlling what appears in the toolbar. The chart is on a tab in VB6 (SSTab). I click on it, go to Properties; commands and then remove some tools like Open, Close, Data Editor, etc. When I exit, the toolbar repeats certain elements such as Print, Zoom, etc, start repeating at the end. I can't seem to get rid of them. What gives? -- Nasir
  25. I am trying to use Chart Fx 98 with Active Reports. In the ActiveReports designer, I say add an Active/X control, pick ChartFx 98 from the list that is shown but when I try to place it on the report, I get the message, "Can't create control". I can add other controls just fine including MSChart. Is chart Fx 98 doing something special that precludes it from being added to the AR reports. -- Nasir
