  1. I was confused too. I had looked last night and saw 4.0.10.0 at the top of the page but I looked closely today and it is infact 4.0.11.0 Looks the history file has not been updated. -- Nasir stuart <stuartb@access1.net> wrote in message news:DE0379D14694D211B4CE00609770710D033920@sftfx-221.wamnet.net... > Has this version been posted to the website? > > Stuart >
  2. Active Reports sent me a fix for this. Contact them for the latest service release of Active Reports.
  3. I have a xy line graph with 3 series in it. There are a different number of points in each series. One has 850, the other two have 846. The graph plots the xy line as expected except it only plots 846 points and then stops leaving 4 points unplotted. I am using the OpenDataEx method to place the data. I am using the following lines of code to place the first series: cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_VALUES, 1, 850 cfxChart.OpenData Ex COD_XVALUES, 1, 850 And for the following series: cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_VALUES, 1, 846 cfxChart.OpenDataEx COD_XVALUES, 1, 846 Is there someother
  4. I am looking to retrieve the Orientation from the chart, but get 65535 returned from ChartName.Printer.Orientation when the Orientation is either Portrait or Landscape. I do get the proper setting of 0 when it is setup to use the default orientation of the printer. What gives? I see nothing in the KB. -- Any comments or statements made are not necessarily those of Monsanto Corporation, its subsidaries or affiliates.
  5. Hi, I just started reading this newsgroup. Someone posted that "hidden points are not supported in ChartFX in line mode." Is this true? I am basing a lot of code around this information. Stuart

  7. I am having trouble controlling what appears in the toolbar. The chart is on a tab in VB6 (SSTab). I click on it, go to Properties; commands and then remove some tools like Open, Close, Data Editor, etc. When I exit, the toolbar repeats certain elements such as Print, Zoom, etc, start repeating at the end. I can't seem to get rid of them. What gives? -- Nasir
  8. I am trying to use Chart Fx 98 with Active Reports. In the ActiveReports designer, I say add an Active/X control, pick ChartFx 98 from the list that is shown but when I try to place it on the report, I get the message, "Can't create control". I can add other controls just fine including MSChart. Is chart Fx 98 doing something special that precludes it from being added to the AR reports. -- Nasir

  10. I have an existing horizontal bar chart that was developed using ChartFx v3 that I would like to reproduce using version 4. The difference lies in the labeling on the left hand side of the chart. In version 3, the text was centered and had a light seperator line between each label. In version 4, the text is now right justified and I am unable to get the seperator line. Personally I prefer the right justification but I was hoping that there is a way to display those seperator lines. Do you have any suggestions? I have enclosed two images to illustrate my issue. Thanks, Alan

  12. I'm using VC++ 6.0 In ChartFX 3.0, I had some nifty default processing I added to every chart, wherein I would catch the mouse up and down events, and the mouse moving event, and along with the crosshairs, display the X and Y values as the user dragged the mouse. Nice for checking points on curves, etc, etc. I did this by writing a generic routine which took a chart handle, and the wParam and lParam codes from the WM_COMMAND message. I stuck this procedure in a DLL, and just called it from any apps OnCommand message handler if I had charts in that window. I can't seem to fi

  15. Will ChartFX 99 IE support Chart Painting? In particular, the PaintMarker and PostPaint events. If not, is there any other way to customize the chart? Thanks, Nathan

  17. I had heard that the new version of CfxIE will support the use of Response.BinaryWrite to return a chart directly from an ASP. Is this true? If so, which method call returns the necessary byte array for BinaryWrite? Thanks! Todd

  21. I tried on two different machines; one is NT 4.0 which had www running at the time, the other was Windows 98 and it did not have personal web running. Even after I copied the Licence file, Include files and created the CfxTemp directory on the Windows 98, rebooted several times, the sample gave me an error of Create Object Failed. Win NT 4 worked fine after I copied the files over. 23. Hi, After installing the beta ChartFX 99 ( I indicated that I want to install all options), it did not create a virtual directory under my web root and did not create the license, CfxTemp or any of the download files. It did however, created those files in my c:\Program Files\CfxIE4 directory. I wasn't able to run the sample until I copied those files into my wwwroot. I do not have the previous version of ChartFX on this server could that be the reason? The installation created help files for ChartFX 98. Is there documentation for ChartFX IE 99? Thanks, - Sandy Gutheinz

  25. I have been creating some line XY graphs showing how a particular measurement varies over time and have had problems when trying to handle multiple series with different numbers of points. The method I tried was: a) Determine series with maximum number of points and initialise the chart with that number of points. For each series plot the actual points and then set all remaining points (i.e. up to maximum number specified for chart) to XValue = 0 YValue = CHART_HIDDEN This crashed the web server completely - it seems that hidden points are a no-no in XY gr
