  1. When using charts, we frequently save the layout of charts so they can be reapplied to other charts. We do this using the FileContents and Export commands. When a user modifies the colors of the Map extension, are these saved out to the file when saving the layout? If not, how do we persist user changes to the map control?

  3. I found the way to set the initial value now. But there is another problem: when I show the data editor, the data of initial value are not displayed. How can I show the initial values in the data editor? Thanks! 4. Thanks a lot Francisco, Can you show me how to use a table as datasource to create a floating bar? I tried to set the Data Type but it cannot work. e.g query= " SELECT Name, High, Low FROM tblSales" chart1.DataType[0]= SoftwareFX.ChartFX.DataType.Label; chart1.DataType[1] = SoftwareFX.ChartFX.DataType.Value; chart1.DataType[2] = SoftwareFX.ChartFX.DataType.IniValue; chart1.DataSource = tbl; but it seems that it cannot work. 7. My chartFx is 6.2.1342.0. It seems it does not support initial values for bar chart, any solution? 10. I seem to remember is 6.2 that there was a capability to copy a chart as an object from the toolbar, and paste into an office document. Is this available in ChartFx for VS2005? I can't seem to find reference to it on your site. Thanks

  13. Hi, I'd like to add some comments (XML style <!-- comment -->) to my XML chart templates. Basically it works, comments are ignored as expected and the chart template can be imported. Although if a comment is added in the section <AXIS> ... </AXIS> there is a NullPointerException [1] thrown while importing the chart with chart.importChart(FileFormat.XML, configStream); . I'm using ChartFX for Java 6.2 (Version : 6.2.2354.24441). Is this a known issue? 19. Hi, I'm trying to develop a chart in which I want to show some series in a different pane from the others. What I want to achieve is to let the user choose which pane to view / hide (ie: I have 4 panes, and the user might wanto to hide pane 2 and 4). How can I achieve that ? The pane class doesn't have a Visible property. I had to code at the axis level ? The trouble is that I don't not which axis belongs to a particular pane, and I don't want to hardcode this info (if I add a new serie / pane, ...). Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance. Lbrt

  21. Hi There Using VB.NET2003 Webforms & CFX6.2 With Fin Extension For the life of me I can't get the date labels to show. In the samples below you'll see that the labels are missing (NoDatesDisplayed.jpg) and on the second sample (WrongDatesDisplayed.jpg) you'll see (with MACD Showing) it shows Q1 06 which is also wrong as there are more than a year's data on it. including new data for 2007 up to date. How can I force the labels to display the dates properly. In this case I would at least like to see 12 to 15 dates displayed. These increments should also change obviously as a cha
  22. Hi There Using VB.NET2003 & ChartFX For .Net 6.2 I Get and Error When Loading Saved Options. Saving works great, but when loading or restoring this error keeps on coming up. 23. We have purchased Business Intelligence software from a company called Lawson. They use ChartFX to generate the charts within their product. What we didn't get from Lawson is any design tools. Apparently, we get only the 'run-time' version... My question is this. I have generated several charts that have 3 series in them. The first 2 colors are acceptable, but the 3rd is a light tan which is very difficult to read. After some research, I assume we are using the 'ChartFX5' palette for our charts. Is there anyway to change the default palette without having access to the desig
  24. I can't seem to find an example of manually populating the data for a stacked bar chart. The object model has changed quite a bit from 6.2 and you folks no longer put a little manual code sample next to all your chart samples like you used to (ugh). A DataSet sample or Xml sample doesn't help me much. I do have to hard code the series legend indexes etc... I need to have an x axis legend of a-d with stacked sections for 1-3 on each a-d. a b c d 1 .14 0.14 0.22 0.23 2 .57 0.22 0.32 0.33 3
