User (Legacy)
When I attempt to create an ActiveX chart, a chart that looks like a sample chart is displayed rather than a chart representing the actual data I submitted to the ChartFX Control. The displayed chart always has a Y-axis of 0 - 10 and the X-Axis has values of 1 - 5. All of my chart producing reports are displaying this same chart. Also, if I attempt to create an Image chart rather than an ActiveX one, it fails and results in this error: CFX61B1. Png Generation Error (3001). I believe my issue is related to permissions as this issue is only occuring in a production environment where the permissions have been locked down. Any troubleshooting advice or ideas is much appreciated. Thanks, Devin
Software FX
Indeed, it looks like a permissions problem. Make sure that you have a virtual directory created in IIS called CfxTemp pointing to a folder in which the WEB user needs to have READ/WRITE permissions. -- FP Software FX, Inc. User (Legacy)
Thanks for the feedback. We placed FileMon on the system and noticed that ChartFX was unable to locate two ChartFX DLLs. I forget the names of the DLLs but one of them had "png" in the file name. We checked our other environments where ChartFX is installed and confirmed that these two missing DLLs are present on all of these environments. We re-installed ChartFX leaving the same permissions and the two DLLs were installed on the system. Thus, the chart was created successfully without changing the permission configuration. User (Legacy)
I now remember what the two missing files were. \Program Files\Common Files\Software FX Shared\SfxJpegWriter.dll \Program Files\Common Files\Software FX Shared\SfxPngWriter.dll "Devin Richardson" <drichardson@corillian.com> wrote in message news:c8SQmNUAEHA.200@webserver3.softwarefx.com... > Thanks for the feedback.
