Software FX
Hello, This sample on our support web site demonstrates how to use the Charset property for Unicode strings. http://support.softwarefx.com/Samples/CfxIE/Misc/Charset.asp JT Tech. User (Legacy)
Hi Actually, I already know of the site but still have trouble displaying the chart only in korean. I have set the Charset to a value of 129 but it appears to be some funny characters. Please note that I have no trouble displaying in Chinese and Japanese. Do I miss out anything else? Your help will be appreciated. Software FX
If you are using the Client component, you need to set the CodePage property as well. Otherwise the Default code page in your server is going to be used. If you can generate images correctly but have problems generating the ActiveX component, please check the following KB article: Q1462021. Double byte characters (DBCS) are lost when creating active chart Note: Make sure the fonts you are using support the CharSet you want. -- FP Software FX, Inc. User (Legacy)
Hi I fully understand that the CodePage correlates with the CharSet being used and have already set the CodePage to 949 and CharSet to 129 which support Hangeul_CharSet but the chart still display some funny characters instead of Korean words whereas the rest of the ASP page is displaying in Korean. Again, I will like to emphasis that I have no problem displaying in other languages such as Japanese and Chinese. Software FX
Please attach a sample page that reproduces the problem. We are unable to reproduce it here. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy)
Hi Attached is the sample page that you requested. Note that the footer of the page is displaying in Korean but the chart legend display some funny characters which is suppose to be some company name in Korean. Software FX
Sorry, I didn't explain myself correctly. I meant a sample that we can run here (ASP page source code) to see why you are getting the problem. -- FP Software FX, Inc.
User (Legacy)
Hi Thanks for your reply. Actually, It is quite difficult to simulate the problem due to some constraint. Beside the code, you also need the Korean words or phrase. However, I will like to apologise for wasting so much of your time in rectifying the problem which I later found out that it was due to my mistake that my server was not installed with Korean Fonts. Anyway, I will like to thank you for your time and patience.
