User (Legacy)
Using ChartFx Lite, can I control the labelling of the x axis, I have 400 points and wish to label the axis with variable seconds range, but it always draws 0 - 400 no mater what I specify in chart1.AxisX.Max. Software FX
Looks like you need a Time-based X/Y chart. This is not supported in the Lite version, you need to upgrade to Chart F X for .NET. -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com "Malb" <dontspamme_@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:LYH7FIykFHA.2040@webserver3.softwarefx.com... > Using ChartFx Lite, can I control the labelling of the x axis, I have 400 > points and wish to label the axis with variable seconds range, but it > always draws 0 - 400 no mater what I specify in chart1.AxisX.Max. > > Thanks >

User (Legacy)
Hi Francisco, Thankyou for your reply. Unfortunately, this was not the answer I was looking for. I am really investigating the fundamental facility provided by all scientific graphics packages I have used in the past 10 years, that of being able to plot data of a given data-range against an axis labelled with a different label range. This is a common requirement in scientific and engineering where, for instance, data is acquired by a 12 bit A/D converter (0 - 4096 datarange) and plotted against an axis labelled for example -10.0 to +10.0 Nm, thus scaling the data to a true physical range. It is really quite fundamental and I would have expected this ability to be available in the lite version. Nothing I have read in the ChartFx Lite manual, or your website provides me with information on how to do this, or whether such a facility is available in the full version. Software FX
Thank you for your feedback. We do not considered Chart FX Lite to be a "Scientific Graphics Package". We do not included in the Chart FX Lite documentation a list of things you can not do, as for the things the full version can do, this can be found in the full version documentation which you can download from our web site. -- Francisco Padron www.chartfx.com
